Prince Sirki Claims False Face draconicverses, March 16, 2013 Greetings from beyond the veil, Effendi. It was released a short time ago that on this past Wednesday, March 13, veteran character actor Malachi Throne passed away at the age of 84 after a long bout with cancer. A fixture on TV shows, usually as a heavy, he’ll probably be best remembered for portraying arch-villain False Face on the 60s live-action BATMAN TV series. He was a master of disguise that never showed his real face, yet somehow he always managed to fit a plastic face mask between his real face and whatever disguise he was wearing – including Chief O’Hara, begorrah! He’s also probably best known among the Trekker set as Commodore Jose Mendez in the only two part episode of the original series of STAR TREK – The Menagerie, edited together using footage from the unaired pilot, The Cage. Coincidentally, He provided the voice of the Keeper of Talos in the full version of the pilot. He’s also one of the few actors to portray parts in more than one series of Star Trek. In the two part STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION story, Unification, he portrayed Romulan Senator Pardek. He even played villains on VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA (as Blackbeard the Pirate, no less) and Sid & Marty Krofft’s cult classic ELECTRA WOMAN & DYNA GIRL as the evil Ali Baba. Rest well, good sir. News TV Ali BabaBatmanFalse FaceMalachi ThroneStar TrekThe Dragon Remembers...
