Sirki’s Summons – October 11: The 50’s Monster Fighter

It was on this date in 1998, that Prince Sirki collected a man who fought off monsters of all shapes and sizes in the 1950s. He fought THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON, THE CREATURE WITH THE ATOM BRAIN and THE BLACK SCORPION. He survived the DAY THE WORLD ENDED and giant robots in TARGET EARTH. Richard Denning was the hero so many times, in so many films, you almost had to wonder if he’d pop into a monster film as the heroic scientist. Ironically, he passed away on the 41st anniversary of the release of his last monster movie, THE BLACK SCORPION.
