Tune in TOMORROW NIGHT (May 28, 2024) when Yours Truly will return to host the #TCMParty for the first time in almost FIVE YEARS!!

We’ll be watching, & posting about, JASON & THE ARGONAUTS (1963) – the classic stop motion film from the skilled hands & mind of the immortal Ray Harryhausen, at 8pm EDT! Then at 10pm EDT, we will watch the classic, immortal, 1933 release of KING KONG, with the magic of Willis O’Brien bringing the giant ape to life. Kong influenced so many filmmakers & authors in its day.

Harryhausen would actually refine his craft under O’Brien’s tutelage.

Kong inspired Toho’s Eiji Tsuburaya to get into FX work, where he’d go on to co-create GODZILLA.

Harryhausen’s work, including JASON, would inspire Sir Peter Jackson to get into movie-making, delivering unto the world, the unforgettable LORD OF THE RINGS Trilogy, released from 2001 thru 2003.
